Owned and run by Martin and Linda Gale, the Sun Inn is a traditional Welsh inn featuring old beams, flagstone floors, a restaurant, beer garden and bed & breakfast accommodation. Often described as unique, quirky and full of character, the Sun Inn is the perfect for a quiet and relaxing country break.
Accommodation
The Sun Inn features 3 bedrooms, two with twin beds and one room with a double bed. A hearty full English cooked breakfast is also provided, or if preferred a lighter breakfast of cereal, muesli and fruit.

Restaurant
Until the 1970s the Sun Inn used to be a farm with a bar; the restaurant area actually housed the cows, hence it is known as the "Cowshed" restaurant. It is separate from the bar and has old beams and a lovely wooden floor.
Serving locally sourced food wherever possible, the "Cowshed" can also cater for individual food preferences by prior booking, from vegetarian options, themed meals, buffets and roast dinner to cream teas in the garden!
The restaurant also features wonderful views across the fields to the Marteg – the river which runs through the village. It is not unusual to look out of the window and see peacocks, herons, cows and sheep whilst one sits and has a meal.

Bar
The bar area dates from around 1680, so we are told – not sure if anyone really knows. Certainly, the beams, the Inglenook fireplace with its log-burning stove, the flagstone floors and cosy little snug area all add to a certain "WOW" factor that is certainly unique to the Sun Inn.
Many a passer-by has spent a gloriously happy evening here, chatting and drinking with locals and other fellow travellers
